Well, I would like to mention here, that working with 'Movable Type 4' is not difficult.. however, to a beginner, it can be frustrating if one gets caught up in the minutia of visual presentation or layout. Thus, from my perspective, I find it easier to start slowly...and begin by uploading the imagery and other visual assets that will be added to the site as the content is then written. So, for instance, if I want to add an image...
HERE
then I must first locate the image, then upload it to the archive using 'manage assets' function of the dashboard. Gimmee a minute and I will do that now...

This is a sample caption for the photo.
Now then, what seems simple, is not really, at least not in my estimation. I have all imagery in Iphoto currently, and need to first create a folder in my Iphoto finder to accommodate the reformatting and selection of omages I want to be able to choose from as I create content. Thus once the iphoto image archive for kirklandhouse is created, I must then export the contents into a specified folder in my FINDER. I can then retrieve the images from the FINDER and upload them to the MT4 images archive, from whence I can then apply them to the template in line with content.
Tweaking the layout is a combination of understanding basic HTML and also being aware of the style sheets that are directing the creation of the templates. Sometimes, it is not as easy to force the template to display content as easily as it would be in hard coded HTML, but it is a limitation I will try to work around.
I would also like to point out, that I specialize in making typographical errors. I have made such spelling errors since I was a child.. and always was graded down by my English Teachers. They got so caught up in grammar and punctuation, that they were distracted from the actual content. So,.. don't be distracted by pettey errors here, this is a learning platform for now, and I just wanna be able to flow content without having to worry about typos and grammatical errors. If you see them, I probably do to, and eventually I will get around to editing and correcting them... be patient, I am an old dog learning new tricks.
